After this year’s ANFA annual gathering, a rally against the National nuclear waste proposal was held in Port Augusta. On October 24 around 200 people gathered on a hot and windy day to march from Gladstone Square to the foreshore. On the way, participants stopped at the office of SA Minister for Energy & Mining,  Dan Van Holst Pellekaans. The ANFA co-chairs delivered him a letter urging him to stand up for the legislation that makes waste dumps illegal in SA and for the state Liberal Government to take a stand against the federal nuclear waste dump plan. You can read the letter here.
